the lock-on was a life saver. never knew what i was doing wrong but i got it like 10% of the time. But even with just trying it for a bit with lock-on it felt so much more consistent. + with the timing for when the right foot goes up helped even more. Great tutorial

If you ever need help with any windbomb remember the following quote that helped me master each and every kind of windbomb:

"if you need to windbomb somewhere just windbomb there"

I've done just about everything in the game, apart from finding all the shrines (with about 24 left) and killing Ganon. I finally decided to check out all these little glitches and exploits now that I've basically experienced the whole game on my own terms, now I'm addicted to wind bombing.

This definitely solidified my understanding of the technique, so thanks for going into such detail! Most guides and tutorials just teach the button sequence and leave it at that.

A little tip for the horizontal wind bomb: pay attention to the square when the ring around it stops then you can detonate the circle and you can then tell how much faster or slower to do it from then

I was having so much trouble getting ledge windbombs to work until I saw this video. Locking on first really was the key, and I'm much more consistent now. Thanks for the excellent tutorial.

Thank you so much! For the ledge windbombs, even if I don't follow any of the other advice, continuing to lock on made my windbombs so much more successful!

The lock on and right foot tips are such a big game changer. I kept blowing myself up and had such a low success rate but couldn't figure out where my timing was off. Those two tips alone boosted my rate from 10-20%ish to above 90% in an instant. it needs a bit getting used to holding the pad a bit different than what I was "training" for some time now that causes me to mess up the initial jump more often but damn, thanks man.
