Hope you all can forgive me for being misleading. But if you do find it in your heart to forgive, could you also recommend to me some food I should cook on my next "Solo" outing.

it blows my mind so many people didn't know a tripod exist.

Gotta love when Gustovo puts on his jetpack and flies around to take scenic footage for you

I think it’s hard for people to comprehend that when you film yourself solo camping, all the shots of you walking away from the camera means you have to come back for the camera. All the shots of you walking towards the camera means you left camera ahead of you and walked towards it. The work it takes to film might seem impractical to people which is why they have a hard time believing. But I love your videos and I appreciate the effort you put in them. I think when it comes to food ideas, carne asada tacos would be great idea. You can marinate beef and bring soft taco tortillas with few fresh veggies like onions it’ll taste great and be easy to make.

It’s a bit sad that 90% of people and your followers do not understand or appreciate how much effort you put in to make these videos, for example getting out of the kayak at an island, setting up the camera, going back out to the water and coming back to the island, just because to get the shot, let alone all the various angles of walking and etc. guys this stuff takes time, appreciate it. Good job bro! Hope to meet you one day!

Dude, you’re an absolute legend! Must be a blast to hang out with..
Recently discovered your channel and been binge watching the last few days to catch up. Love your personality and how you’ve come to show your zany, fun loving side through your many amazing trips.
Like the solo trips but fave so far was the 12 day canoe trip with your buddy who’s got his own channel. You two had such amazing chemistry, many lol moments.
Thank you for doing what you do and inspiring others to enjoy the great outdoors! All the best out there!!

At least people aren't accusing you of always using a greenscreen when you're standing out in the Canadian wilderness.

I for one always appreciated just how much time and effort goes into setting the cameras and stuff.

People don't appreciate the skills that go into your camera work and editing Xander. Multitalented! From a film and vfx background even I can appreciate the little bits of audio in this video that overlap the speech to give that natural feel between cuts It's all about the little things

Gustavo does GREAT work. Here I was thinking you had to run ahead to set up cameras and then run back for them. I bet he even edits for you! What a great guy.

3:43 seems like gustavo doesn't even shy away from hovering in the air to catch some great footage

I can't believe people were stupid enough to ask this lmao. It's why I appreciate all the bushcraft YouTubers. Not only the skills on display in the videos but the different cinematography styles also make each content creator unique. I imagine it must take a lot of work and that's even before we get to editing the video.

As a newbie to your channel I was actually in awe of the effort you must go to in order to capture such great footage. It’s a real testament to your efforts that people believe you have a crew following you. When my wife sat down to watch with me she actually asked “I wonder if he edits his own footage” due to how punchy it is (crisp/concise). Love your channel, keep up the great work!

Full on cackle laughs. Gotta be your best skit yet and that's saying a lot. I was wondering how you got that last shot without the clouds shifting...dissolve was so subtle, well done sir. I know you said we won't see Gus again, but if you change your mind I'd love to get to know him better.

Honestly no other channel is bringing me as much joy as this one, it is an absolute gem. It's a genuine honour to watch Xander grow and improve his filmmaking and content and explore the more comedic sketch like videos like this one, one of the very few channels where I never want to miss a video. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Mr Budnick!

This is why Xander is the best camping videographer on the platform. Absolutely roasts his viewers and at the same time releases an elegant MASTERPIECE. Well done Gustavo.

Just shows all the time and effort put into making the shots look so good means people think it can't be done alone! definitely take it as a compliment.
