As someone who was raised athiest, never going to church and being encouraged to discover the truth on my own, I never had faith—my father was and is still of the mind that science is the only sane approach to life. That said, I was shocked to discover that not only was The Big Bang Theory developed by a Jesuit-educated Belgian Catholic, but that science itself is steeped in religious dogma. Considering how catholic churches are solar observatories, built very exactly along meridian lines in an incredibly sophisticated scientific manner, the athiest/doubtful part of my mind couldn’t hold the cognitive dissonance of religion and science being separate entities. Great video as always, brings to mind questions of how much/little we really know about truth itself since the church came to be the dominant winning force in our history: one wonders how much was taken out of it, and why.
