The Tomorrow War - Movie Review

The Tomorrow War is out, the internet has chosen their sides, so now it's Chris Pratt vs Hollywood....and a movie release. Here's my review for #TheTomorrowWar

I've disagreed with Chris Pratt on alot of his public stances. However, a very close friend of mine was a background extra on this movie. He ended up getting incredibly lucky and was given a spoken line that made the final cut of the film. Shortly after production ended, my friend unexpectedly passed away. Another friend of his tweeted to Pratt asking if it was possible to get an In Memoriam credit added to the end of the credits. Pratt replied saying "consider it done." And he did. Dave Parra was humble, hilarious, inspiring, uplifting, and a fan of all things film and television. And no matter what Chris Pratt and I may personally disagree on, this one thing will always make him a solid guy in my book. We miss you, Dee.

There was a character who was sprinting backwards down a flight of stairs screaming “OH SH*T OH SH*T OH SH*T” and honestly it was one of the most relatable moments in any action movie hahaha

Good popcorn flick. I especially liked the "Interstellar"-like father-daughter connection, only this time, dad was able to come back and correct his mistakes - that was satisfying.

JK Simmons was brilliant in this movie. I especially appreciated the humour near the end when he was robbed of his cliche attempt at sacrifice

I absolutely loved his little speech to his class where he talks about how the world needs scientists and “never stop innovating.” That was great.

Honestly, i had a great time watching this movie. Not a great movie but also not that bad tho. The alien design of the movie was my favorite part of it. For me, it's an enjoyable popcorn summer blockbuster movie where you can turn your brain off and have a good time watching it

Imagine if the ending would have been that the female escaped and couldn’t be tracked, laid eggs and the attack happened in 2049 anyway. Chris pratt would have been in guilt which is why he couldn’t bear being with his wife, separated and things happened the way they happened in the future. Would have been mind blowing.

I kind of judge movies on the basis of "was I entertained." I was totally entertained by this movie. Was it a good time for two hours, yeah. Sometimes people over analyze a movie, but c'mon, I am a product of 80's action movies and they are literally the worst when it comes to realism. But, was I entertained!

Loved the movie. Chris is a good actor. Hollywood is lucky to have him, wished they'd give him a break & stop being judgemental about anyone's beliefs or differences.
