Dream Vintage Mountain Bike Build, 1992 Giant ATX 770

Today I start building up a 1992 Giant ATX 770. After almost 4 years of searching I finally found one in my size and am very excited to get the build under way. I will be using a black Deore LX drivetrain which looks great with the paint scheme.

I love the custom crown on the fork. giant really did some cool things back then. but those tires ! I have been searching for more of those Contis for well over 20 years. they are hands down the best street tire ever made for a MTB. They wear fast but can be used on gravel and repel water good and the only flaw is the this coating on the sidewall . i have Maxxis Hook worm 2.5's and some swell GEAX and they pale in comparison and in cornering they don't hold a candle to the continentals .Cheers !

I’m thinking about buying a 1992 ATX 760. Do you know the tire clearance on your 770?

Hello looking at picking up one of these Giant Atx to build up...
Just curious as to WHY do you like this so much to look for one for 4 yrs...? Im looking to grab one i saw becuase its a good deal...? Just wondering if this is a framevthat is really sought-after??
