I kept saying this last night at the big ten championship. Oregon you just secured a chance to play OSU and Texas. I also told Oregon fans to not get too cocky. Barely beating an OSU team and not paying either Georgia or Texas. All last night was a chance to get a #1 bye and a difficult road to the championship. They better be prepared to go through the gauntlet.

As an Oregon fan, we need better defense. Our defense looked tired. No more dropped passes where it would’ve been a near touchdown. And we need to stop with so many check downs and laterals and more downfield plays, play action, and trick plays

Oregon reminds me a bit of those USC teams with Leinert and Reggie Bush. Tons of offensive firepower but relatively suspect defense. That team simply overpowered everyone until they met a team with equal firepower and couldn’t stop them. I’m not sure there is a team like that in this playoff field though. Georgia and Texas have both shown the ability to score at will but have both been inconsistent as well. Oregon can probably thank the committee for leaving Alabama out. That’s the one team that at their best could have beaten them.
