In response to the farmers' 'Delhi Chalo' march scheduled for February 13, Section 144 has been enforced across Delhi, prohibiting large gatherings. The city's borders have been reinforced with concrete barriers and iron spikes to deter protester vehicles from entering the capital. These actions have disrupted traffic flow in border zones, inconveniencing commuters during Monday morning rush hours. Several farmer associations, mostly from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, have called for the march on February 13 to demand a law guaranteeing MSP for their produce, one of the conditions they had set when they agreed to withdraw their agitation in 2021.
