Great video. The Wooden Dummy is a meditation on lines of force. We should be "soft" and conform to contact and always feed [by being "beside" the line while "crossing"] back to their "center". It also teaches the value of leverage and acceptance of "energy" rather than "resistance" of force. We should try to maintain contact and control at all times. Spine rotation and footwork naturally follows as you explain. Focus over force; energy over movement; specificity over power.

Great explanation. But it can also be used for other training purposes. Not just wing Chun.
Like the punching bag is not only for boxing.

You indeed talked about what wooden dummy actually is. I saw every videos are showing moves, tutorials etc etc. No one is talking about actual purpose of dummy.

I came across an inflatable version, they said more or less the same as you that it was for form rather than condition or striking.
