River City Science Academy teacher dies of COVID

River City Science Academy is mourning the loss of a 3rd grade teacher, Nicole Hollis, to COVID yesterday.

I am a teacher and I quit in June. It was clear to me that I was simply a pawn in this game they are playing. I will sit this year out! May she rest in total peace.

My older sister quit early & took retirement as a teacher & her husband a science teacher quit so he wouldn't inflict her with the virus that was last year They also are fully vaccinated and wear a mask.

Guessing River City ‘Science’ Academy is a little light on the SCIENCE. Certainly newsworthy if she was one of the VERY few who were vaccinated AND died of Covid.

It is so disturbing to see someone so young dying of Covid, makes me wonder what the remainder of 2021 will bring. My heart goes out to all the teachers and their students. We need to support masking in schools for their sake.

A lady at my church had Covid, now her whole family has it. I regretfully can now say I know someone personally that has died from Covid. She died because she couldn't breath. It took her breath away. Lord Jesus please cover us with your mercy and grace.

What a beautiful teacher. This is so heartbreaking. My daughter’s in 3rd now and we’d never have made it out of 1st or through 2nd with lockdown learning if not for amazing and incredible teachers. I didn’t know this woman specifically but feel so grateful for her care, as a mom, that she clearly showed her community. May God bless her soul and keep her family healthy and safe.
