Thank you for this. I enjoy watching old TV stations sign off the air. It helps me to go to sleep at night. By the way WTVF is still with cbs today.

0:45 - You gotta love those old telecines when the lens is flipped from slide to film.

This rendition of the anthem is better than any sports arena. Solemn and moving.

I remember this channel. Dialing for Dollars. I don’t think channels do this anymore. How much I remember this.

Looks like there was transmitter close, or another channel near that one from the way that static looked and sounds at the end.

This is probably one of the last airings of this sign off itself.

WTVF made a new sign off film that was dated to 8/25/78, which premiered a few weeks after this aired.

It seems that the comments in this clip don't have the orange-haired YouTube account in their profile picture. Mention about the NAB'S SOGP logo for sure. This person talks about it so often that we start to get annoyed.

at 0:24 the announcer says "Always mindful of our public trust and responsibility, it is the policy of WTVF to provide the very best in wholesome family entertainment, and the latest coverage of local, national and worldwide news." then the announcer did not mentioning the Television Code despite they display it and the TV Code script will look like this: "Since this principle is set forth in the Television Code as administered by the Television Code Board of the National Association of Broadcasters, WTVF channel 5 is proud to be a subscriber and eligible to display this Seal of Good Practice. It is your guarantee that channel 5 is constantly working toward the goal of better and better service in the public interest."

I love this version of the National Anthem, produces by the Army National Guard.

Could this be the earliest usage of that particular SSB film from the Army National Guard?

The Dracula man at the beginning was a hybrid of cheesy and disturbing. Yet very entertaining 😂😂🎉🎉

The vampire at the beginning was known as "The Count Of Five."
