In one of the most surprising and uplifting days of the Biden presidency, Griner is on her way home for the holidays, following a prisoner swap that saw her released in exchange for the notorious Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Paul Whelan, a former US Marine who served his country is still in Russia. Apparently serving your country is less important than being good at sports. Also, Griner was actually in violation of Russian law and should've known that before going to Russia.

Now release all the people in the United States that are held for cannabis convictions.

Seeing as you said it is an unjust law.

Wow, How anybody can call this a win for the US is mindboggling.

"I want to thank all the hard-working public servants across my administration"
Never mind all the hard-working public servants in law enforcement who actually captured the guy you just released

Swapping a man who brings untold death and suffering to many thousands for a jock who knowingly violated the laws of a sovereign nation. Truly a great day to be an American!

This is not a win. This is a major loss.

This is the worst trade in the history of trades! We traded the Merchant of Death, a man who WE put in jail for conspiring to kill Americans for a basketball player, AND left the Marine!

If I was Grinner I wouldn’t want to come after all the hate comments and if I was Paul I wouldn’t want to comeback either after seeing my country fight for an athlete

So you give up a man who, at the point of his capture, was considered the most dangerous man alive; Whose exploits and livelihood led to the murder of millions of people; A man whose capture required the hard work and dedication of thousands of law enforcement officers around the world, the collaboration and cooperation of dozens of countries, and millions of dollars, for an insignificant basketball player who plead guilty to the crime???? And to make it worse, you leave the other prisoner behind? Unbelievable!!!!

Mind boggling that this person gets traded after being convicted of a crime she did. Her sentence was harsh but fell in the guidelines for that conviction. I know better than go to any other country with drugs and so did she!
While people who served this country are being held. Things like this are why so many of us have lost hope .

Will she have to do jail time here “USA” or are we allowed to break laws in other countries have USA step in and all is forgiven? She transported an illegal substance over state and country lines that’s illegal no matter how you put it.

Such a tragic day that we barter a trade for someone who openly states they hate America for a dealer of death

Trades a below average WNBA player for the merchant of death because she’s black and part of the gay community, meanwhile says it’s sick how the American people are able to buy semi auto rifles. Just keel over already Brandon

Just goes to show how sad Biden really is.
