5 Downsides to the iPhone X!

I've had my X for 5 weeks and totally agree with this video.  Especially FaceID being more of a hassle than TouchID and the X having a smaller usable screen size when watching 16:9 content.  

But I agree with the video's positive comments about the X, esp. the gorgeous OLED display and the physical size being much more comfortable to hold than the size of the Plus-sized iPhones.  

I'd add that the X's camera is amazing (compared to the very good camera on the 7+ I used to have).

Yes, there is one thing that bugs me about the iPhone X! The fact that I don't own one!

For me, I don’t mind of the videos being smaller when viewing them in normal mode. I have an iPad so if I want to watch something on a larger screen I’ll just use that, but I can understand those that want a bigger display on the go. I had an iPhone 7 Plus and now I have a Google pixel 2 XL and I think that both of those phones are too big for me to use comfortably. I almost wish I got a regular google pixel 2.

Only bugs me Force Close and Watching Video on the full screen

Come on now! I have the iPhone X, and I think I would prefer the swipe up on the lock screen. Cause sometimes I get notifications, I just glance at the phone and it tells me all the information. People are complaining about good things or I guess they are complaining nonsense.

100% the same things that bothered me.

On a side note: The legal information wasn't removed globally, only in select countries.

A slight hold then swipe up actually does work to close an app when in the app switcher

I agree with all of these things that bug me about the iPhone X as well. I think the most bugging thing for me personally is the screen size. Going from a larger phone to a smaller phone has definitely taken some time to get used to with me watching YouTube vids daily on my phone, but I compromised to be able to use my phone with one hand comfortably again. I just wish they would place the gesture for the control center elsewhere.

One of the worst bugs I have is the YouTube bug sometimes happens when I comment during a video and it freezes completely and I have to wait a few seconds after pressing the off button for it to respond once I tried to play a video and it froze didn’t turn off for like 10 seconds and then when it turned off the screen was flickering between on and off and making the locking click repeatedly not even letting the one before it finish

My only problem with iphone x is the yellow ish tint when you put it directly to your face and turns blue ish with slight angle. Other than that it’s an amazing phone

The good thing is that most of these just require a software fix.

The size of the iPhone and Notch can eventually be addressed next year.

I think face I don’t is a step forward it’s not perfect but it’s definitely not something Apple got wrong. Everything else I agree with!

I would like them to fix that video zoom in without losing anything on screen. Otherwise I am actually good how it works now. Sure things could have done better. So we might see update in future.

Also wish they could use space better with keyboard. It feels like bottom have to much space with no use. Just 2 icons.

The Home bar is annoying. I got used to the Home gesture the day I received my phone, but its persistence on the screen and for some unoptimized apps makes it really annoying. It does go away sometimes but only for some iPhone X optimized apps. I wish there is a global option to auto-hide it after certain intervals.

The home-bar should be tappable. One tap for home, two for multi-tasking view and tap-and-hold for reachability.

I don't like the size. I prefer the plus better. Can't wait until next year when we should get a plus vsrison of the X.

With a oled display I still don't understand why we don't have dark mode.

the only thing annoying me right now is that i still have a lot of apps which haven't updated to the X screen size!

I miss two visual things; one, do not disturb has no visual reminder/warning that it is on, and two, that there is no network activity notifier like the spinning circle in the top bar on past models
