preview_player
Показать описание
The Comet Rocket was a proposed super heavy lift launch vehicle (HLLV) designed for NASA's First Lunar Outpost Program (FLO) from a 1992-1993 Space Exploration Initiative. It was a Saturn V-derived launch vehicle with modernized engines, stretched fuel tanks, and strap-on boosters

Awww yeah, here come the Saturn V derivatives!!!

Edit: and you even gave it an Apollo CSM variant as a payload. Sweet!

The camera focusing / defocusing effect is spot on 👍

Wow, this is even better than the previous ones. Very impressive, thank you very much for making these beauties. Could you, at some point, make one of a Proton launching a TKS going to Almaz? That would be fun. (For me :)

They even considered a nuclear powered variant for the 3rd stage for this

This is such a great „what if“ video series! Blows Apple‘s „For All Mankind“ right out of the water… even without any dialogue!

It's crazy to think that we have a NASA rocket with more additional thrust than the Saturn V on the launchpad of Kennedy space centre !

These are so great. I really respect and appreciate the attention to detail.

Absolutely gorgeous - the lunar burn lookback at the Earth terminator view was stunning. However, I wanted a lunar landing! Now we are left wondering what happened!

A part of me wishes this could have come to reality; if mostly for it being an even better version of the Saturn V. However, like many of the never built ideas featured on your channel, there were no doubt good reasons for this to remain in the realm of animations and drawings.

Though a part of me still thinks that a scaled up version of Dyna-Soar on a Titan 3E would have been safer than the shuttle we ultimately got.

Woah your animation just keep getting more and more realistic looking :o incredible work !

that is so cool, that you see a rocket at a very big distance from you, that the rocket is in deep space, but in the rocket's point of view, you cant see yourself on the planet.

Hey Hazegrayart, maybe you could make a video about the Soviet lunar Zvezda base? Just a suggestion, ofc

Also, your vids are AMAZING

Hello. Very nice, I watched it over again but this time in 4K. Spotted one small rendering error so I'm guessing you added the rocket to real world video. The small error is just left of the rocket on the nearest of the three lightning towers. I'm seeing a square patch of CGI that breaks through the tower near it's lower third, but still your work is the best. Only people from the million dollar studios could compete with you. Thanks again.

Hazegray-- I always wondered about your background considering the choice of name, and the cruiser avatar, but the plot really thickens with your selection of the march-on classic to open this video. 🇺🇸⚓🐐

Stellar video as always, you just keep getting better and outdoing yourself! It always amazing me how you can seamlessly integrate the animations into the real life footage.

I have never heard of this rocket before, she is a thicc girl for sure! I will have to go and do some digging into it later on. Thanks for the upload, it's always appreciated. I love seeing these relics of history come to life.
