Not often I pick up a vid straight away, YT algorithm must like me today.
I thought you'd just slap a couple of wheels on the large grid and drag the drill through the dirt to keep your stocks of resources up. Make sure you drop a GPS before you leave or you'll never find the place again. 👍👍

I do NOT know how this works but several streamers have provided a scenario with all the mods included on the workshop (Splitsie does this often). It would be fun if this was also setup that way. Just an idea. Enjoying your second season (finished the first season last week). :)

Sorry for all these questions. I tried the escape pod but it missed pertam by several km. Did you do a cut and paste of it so it would land on the planet?
