The Orange Text on the Norfleet represents it being a Unique E-Tech Legendary like the longbow

Well, eridian weapons are a magenta purple color rarity. The norfleet is an eridian weapon, but since they made it a leagendary (Hints the orange rarity), they wanted to somehow insinuate that it was also eridian, so the deep orange color flavor text is what they chose!

I think the reason the Norfleets text might be different is because by the look of it it's an E-Tech so maybe that has some effect.

Pyro Pete can drop any legendary I think, and on normal mode he's lvl 30. And you can spawn Vermi on normal mode too. And also a norfleet can spawn in a chest in the lost treasure chamber in Oasis in normal mode. So it is possible.

Norfleets are treated as unique by the game and only drop from vermivorous and hyperious. They cannot spawn in chests or drop from any other enemy. Just so people know.

Just a guess, but would say the reason for the different shade in the flavor text for the Norfleet would be due to the fact that it's a legendary E-Tech launcher. Only a guess though

I got my Norfleet at 43. My friend and I were doing the Annex and an ultra varkid immediately podded when it spawned. We couldn't kill it in time and Vermi spawned. I died and just sniped from the cage while my friend tried to stay alive as best he could. It took a while but we killed him and got the almighty Norfleet. :D

PSA: The Mongol can freeze people's games.On the Gunzerker, with the Rough Rider and Inconceiveable for those free shots, just spam rockets into the sky and watch that "Connection Interrupted" symbol pop up. Good for when people are being assholes.

The different flavor text that is deep orange means that the gun is a legendary eridian. Like so everyone can see.

someone said that the reason the nofleet had orange text was because of it being an e tech and i was replying to him by saying that the lonbow was an etech, but it didn't have orange text

There is also an legendary E-Tech pistol that has the normal red text so it can't be that.

You can see by the barrel on the norfleet that it has an e-tech barrel

anything that has flavor txt is technicaly legendary personally i only consider the block head and the teeth of terramorphous to be the only blue legendary weapons.

I got the "Big Badaboom" rocket! except mine is a level 48 and has corosive damage. Very effective and badass! :)

Maybe they've patched it. When the game first came out the only way to get a norfleet was to kill vermivorous. It didn't drop from chests, slot machines, or any enemies other than him.
