your videos are different. really awesome test.. thank you for your time. not so much difference between note 5 and s7 edge. only a little on low light for s7 edge. optical in note 5 is so much better than s7 edge. i think some of pics on note 5 are better..

I've been looking for for a comparison like this, what I found was a great channel!!! Much thanks, keep it up! for now I'm going to keep my Note 4 and wait for the next Note. My wife has the S7 Edge so I can take pictures as well. Both the Note 5 and & Edge are great shooters.

Note 5 is just amazing overall, especially when it comes to stabilization.

However, the s7 edge seems to fair better in low light situation. But it seems like that is the only pro when compared to the Note 5

Excellent comparison! For anyone who is planning to buy S7/S7 EDGE no matter what don't do it!!! In this video, check from 16:56 to 17:34 how shaky the video from s7 edge is in comparison to note 5. There is more problems with s7 series about which you can find out here on YT or various android forums. Some guy posted a transcript from a chat with Samsung's representative about jittery/shaky video, they know about this problem but they will not fix it because that's how this camera works and there is nothing that can be done to improve it. The advise was to keep the phone as steady as possible despite of image stabilisation turned on. Same goes for panning shots...you have to pan slower to get smooth video even at 60 fps. Imho this is what happens when manufacturers are racing against each other to release new phones without thorough testing. As for S7 edge having slightly brighter image than note 5 in low light...yes that is true, but notice how much more grainier the video is...

Hey thanks so much for the excellent camera test comparison! I had a Note 7 and then had to get another phone because of the recall. I need the s-pen, so I picked the Note 5 and am so glad to see that while the S7 (and Note 7) has a better camera, the Note 5 looks pretty good too! I was surprised to see how the video when you were running was better (less shaky) on the Note 5. Yay!!

I'm so happy that I got the S6 Edge Plus because it's got the same spec as a Note 5 in 2017 and it added a 12 megapixel camera from the S7 when the software was updated I'm so happy
