They also have little beagles at the airports that sniff out food and animals that are illegal to bring into the country. I had forgotten half a beef stick in my backpack but Customs Doggie found it so it could be disposed of properly.

The great thing is that the police dogs are actually really energetic and not what you’d expect in that way, if you haven’t met a police dog just remember they are exited to see you, they see their work as play or a game so they can get their reward at the end (either food, a toy, or praise depending on the dog)

K9 officers really need to be treated as same as human officer when they’re hurt or killed. They need same justice.

there's also no standardized federal requirements or regulation for k9 training. It goes by department. And some departments literally just have regular dogs that they've trained to react to the cop's signals, so they'll give them probable cause when there isn't any.
