The idea that Olmec heads were ball player heroes is very interesting. I once thought that the so-called Ramesses Ⅱ statue was a character like Mickey Mouse from the lost civilisation, and the temples in each places were theme parks like Disneyland. 😆🙏

I remember an exhibit in S.F. of Mesoamerican artifacts, probably 30+ years ago. There was Mayan figurine, almost 2 feet tall, that was clearly wearing Chinese battle armor. Nothing in the description of the piece mentioned this fact. Mayans don't wear battle armor!
