Building a Mobile Base for the Ridgid Jointer

I have owned the Ridgid Jointer for a few months now. I think it’s an excellent jointer for those of us who want something bigger than a benchtop jointer but are not ready to spend a grand on something larger. I work out of my garage and half of the space is dedicated to my woodworking hobby. I strive to keep everything in my shop is mobile. The Ridgid Jointer is really heavy, but with its new set of wheels I can move it around my shop effortlessly.

Awesome build! Simple straightforward and highly effective! As a quick improvement to make it more secure and stable on the base, replace the leveling feet with bolts. If they interfere with the casters, just use short lag bolts.

I've ordered my ridged jointer and was wondering how your mobile base is holding up. Is their any design changes you would do now that you've had time to us it?

Nice build, I think I would have made the dolly wider (depth) though, lot of weight up top and it wants to be tip over backwards.

Why are the Ridgid jointers sit so low? I built a mobile base and I made sure it raised the jointer.
