Love this painting. Carl Haag has another one of a Jew laying tefillin that has some beautiful symmetry when viewed next to the Samaritan one.

I’m very interested. I am a Karaite Jew. A Jewish person who rejects the rabbis and the rabbinical oral law. I follow only the Hebrew Bible. How come the Samaritans just have the Torah and not the rest of the Hebrew Bible?
