After trying them all, I believe the Scout specialist NPC is the best of them all. It occasionally hits people with body shots and being able to locate chests and enemies around you is super helpful, especially playing solos.

the best npc is near the green gas station, she heals you+attacks enemy players and heals herself when damaged

The scouts now use the explosive repeater rifle and they have killed themselves several times trying to shoot through things right next to them. They can't tell if something is between them and the player they're trying to shoot. It's ridiculous when they shoot at the ground over and over until they kill themselves. Come on, Epic.
