Top 10 party games while you're stuck at home. Since most of us are confined to our homes at the moment and on a tight budget, we tend to spend more time with our roommates, housemates or families. Since we'll always be gamers, why not combine them? We made a list of the top 10 party games across all platforms to enjoy during some pure multiplayer fun - whether it is co-op, competitive or online.

These party games include: Super Mario Party, Jackbox Party Pack, Knowledge is Power, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Overcooked, Tricky Towers, Rocket League, Speedrunners, Stick Fight: The Game, and Awesomenauts.

Featuring the popular Mario Party series board game mode, Super Mario Party has two main game modes. The standard mode allows up to 4 players to take turns to move about the board in search of stars, while the Partner Party mode lets you split into teams. As usual, it also features minigames, and makes for some great family gameplay.

There are 6 Jackbox Party Packs available, with the 7th slated for release later this year. Each Party Pack features 5 party games, with most of these having support for up to 8 players. It has various game modes and with a wide variety of themes is bound to appeal to almost everyone.

Knowledge is Power is a classic game show-themed quiz game. Up to 6 players can use their mobiles phones to participate in the game, where they are each represented by a cartoon character that they create. They then compete in three battle rounds, two challenge rounds, and a final round.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a bomb defusal game with a very strong emphasis on teamwork. The main player has the typical movie-style bomb in front of them, with wires to cut, connections to switch and various other mechanical or electronic interfaces. The other players have the bomb manuals, but cannot see the bomb itself.

Overcooked is a co-op cooking game for up to four players. Similar to most cooking games, the goal is to prepare, cook and serve orders before the customers get too impatient. Improperly made dishes are penalised, while dishes that are of good quality and served in time earns you points. There is quite a variety in terms of environment as well, with over 20 kitchens to work in - each with its own challenges.

Tricky Towers is a multiplayer physics-based tower building game. Borrowing from the likes of Tetris and Jenga, the goal is to build your own stable tower while trying to destroy your opponents' towers. With an extra element of both protective and destructive magic, the game is a lot more involved than just a typical tower builder. The game can be played by up to four players, and also features an online mode if you're stuck at home alone.

Rocket League is a hybrid between arcade soccer and destructive racing. It can be played by up to 4 players per team, and online play with cross-platform is available. The goal of the game is to use your team's cars to get the ball into the opponents' net, while fending off their cars in the process. The game features a full and smooth physics system, with an immersive experience both in terms of ball handling as well as car handling.

Speedrunners is a competitive platform game for up to four players. Players have a wide array of weapons, gadgets, and tools like grappling hooks to navigate through the map. The goal of the game is basically to win, or at least to keep up with the first player as you get eliminated when you fall far enough behind to disappear from the screen. With 12 unique maps, the game offers a good amount of variety, while also offering a full-featured map editor and community-created maps.

Stick Fight is a physics-based platform fighting game where up to four players, represented by stick figures, fight it out in this wild and fast-paced action fighter. With a good variety of weapons and moves, the game reminds somewhat of Worms Armageddon and even the terrain itself can be used as a weapon. There are 100 maps available, with a level editor and community-created maps on top of that. The animations are procedural and uses the same system as Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.

Awesomenauts is a MOBA, or multiplayer online battle arena. Team-based gameplay meets platforming to form this arena game that supports up to four players. There's a choice between a cast of customizable characters, each with their own abilities, upgrades, skins and themes. As with most MOBA's, unlocks are earned by collecting points and players will eventually be able to form some deadly team combinations with their characters.
