"Who's your favorite role player? Probably a Padre right?"
"Not a Padre, not a role player, not even an answer, Pete Crow-Armstrong"

Ben zobrist. I have a feeling cubs fans will say the same about 2016 but 2015 is the best utility season I’ve ever seen. Dude did everything

One of the most underrated role guys in all is baseball history, Marco Scutaro. As a Giants fan I never forget that NLCS clinching game, in the pouring rain.

People forget how legitimately good Brock Holt was

Gotta go with Dylan Moore. Mashes lefties, runs the bases well, and can play everywhere. A great guy to have on your bench.

Joe Panik and Adam Frazier. For some reason I like high contact leftie second baseman.

Al Newman. The middle fielder guy in two triple plays in the same game.

Loved Randy Velarde (for the Yankees) when I was growing up

Definitely Terrance Gore. Might as well have let him just start at third once he came in to pinch run.

Dylan Moore. Plays just about every position with good defense and solid hitting every year.

Charlie Culberson was one of my favorite role players and I was so bummed when got traded off the dodgers, but happy he had a great opportunity with Atlanta.

Josh Harrison back when he played with the Pirates was so much fun to watch. He'd steal 3rd and avoid a billion tags or win a game in the 10th with a bomb that breaks Rich Hill's no no

Apparently Jolly isn't old enough to remember Endy.

Braves - Martin Prado. Those last years of the "dynasty" had some cheerished braves players who helped get to a few more playoffs before the last of the 90s squad moved on or retired.
