NASA unveils plan to catch an asteroid

NASA has unveiled a US$17.7 billion budget plan for 2014 space exploration projects, including funds to launch a new mission to capture an asteroid. The Asteroid Capture Mission Initiative hopes to capture and move a small asteroid into orbit around the moon as part of plans to send astronauts to an asteroid by 2025.
