The first time I saw the movie, this scene made me laugh until I teared up, I have no idea why. Its so lame but so good.

I’m a flight attendant and one time a passenger hit their head on the ceiling during boarding and said dang it like this

The delivery of that simple line is everything, from the inflection, tone and look of disappointment.

The drive off wasn't planned, neither was the explosion. They thought it would flatten at best. Once it popped unexpectedly, he just rolled with it and drove off.

I can’t explain it but I laughed harder at this scene then maybe any scene in any movie. I just remember thinking, uhhhh that’s not gonna work? Then it crushed and he just bolts hahahahaha

The scripting in this movie is so good. The motionlessness of the woman and the immediacy of Kip's transition to leave.

The fact that the Tupperware exploding wasn’t planned makes this even better

The way Aaron Ruell says “dang it” is the cherry on top of this scene

This film is really interesting because it presents a quite stylistic stage, but all of the characters are the random barely-expressive, sitting still and staying quiet type people you meet every day. It's just played like straight reality put on a stage.

And then he just leaves, never to return.

Years ago I recreated this for my son - and to think some people spend years at acting classes trying to emulate Pacino, Brando, De Niro and Hopkins. The height of my ambition was to drive an Audi over a plastic bowl.

I remember seeing this in theaters almost 20 years ago, and this part had the whole room crying laughing

I love this scene. Imagine how optimistic Kip must have been. Did he think the van was going to raise up over the tupperware like a speed bump? 🤣
