This album captured the essence of when I saw Johnny and Rick in Columbia Missouri in 1970. It was the university homecoming concert event that year. The opening act was Linda Ronstadt. Bobby Caldwell on drums at the time. Not sure who the bassist was but he played an acrylic see through bass guitar. Rick and Johnny were a duo unequaled in intensity to this day at that moment in time. I was blessed at having experienced that amazing concert. RIP Johnny.

By far in my opinion the all time best album recorded live by any artist. RIP Johnny you'll live on for ever will always be my favorite rock/blues guitarist.

Youtube should show a little decency and out of respect for the artists and people who share these videos stop cutting in the middle of songs with commercials.

I was at this show tripping my brains out on orange domes. Johnny was 3 hours late! The crowd was pissed!! We had smoked all of our weed hours ago. This scrawny guy comes on stage and say's.... "Johnny is really sick, but he will be better in a minute". He then started signing like a sick cow. We all booed him off the stage.... it was Lou Reed singing I'm waitin for my man. Suddenly Johnny comes sliding out across the stage with this opening piece. Rick Derringer & The McCoys were phenomenal, and as always. Edgar was there on a blonde drum set. Listen to this drummer he was so tight, really talented.

This was absolutely one of the albums that changed my life - musical nirvana. The greatest musical highlight of my life was when my band opened for Johnny Winter a year before he died. We lobbied hard to get that gig.

This a seriously classic album that I've been listening to for about 47 years, brilliant! His music is there, waiting to be discovered by younger generations.

One of my first albums, and I still have it (vinyl). Man did I thrash this record. Johnny and Rick Derrenger have been captured at their best here, including the great rhythm section.

Back in the day Johnny may have been the greatest live performer I've ever seen. I learned Jumpin' Jack by listening to this! ✌

Where's the love for Bobby Caldwell from Captain Beyond?! One of the greatest rock drummers of the time period, some of his best work!

Mick and Keith wrote jumping Jack flash. Johnny showed them how it was supposed to be played!
And when Johnny plays the blues...FORGET ABOUT IT !!

My older sister (yes..my sister) had this album. I stole it and wore the damn thing out. I learned Johnny B Good and Jumping Jack Flash from this vinyl not from the originals. Every time I joined a new band I would play these versions of those songs and the band members would be staring at me. "Dude...what are you playing?" I would then teach them these versions and away we went. Screw the originals...Johnny's versions were so much better. Johnny Winter ruled!
