As an Asian, I didn't find it surprising coz I'm so used to this mythical creature.

I was more confused about Abyss Dweller and Wandering Gryphon Rider. Their original artwork just looked like an abyss with blue glowing stuff and a big-ass gryphon. I didn't know their faces until they showed up on other cards.

Fubfact kirin just is chinease for giraffe so the entire play of word here is that its mutated giraffe with one horn

Mine would have to be the fiend Mega cyber. There is nothing fiend or cybernetic about it whatsoever and it's also a warrior type monster.

Just wait for a Kirin to look like a giraffe as that's what it's based on and I believe that's what they're called in parts of China, though I could be wrong on that part

Correction the Kirin or 麒麟 is from Chinese mythology and it's creation has nothing to do with the rest of eastern asia
