Ever since America’s sprint sensation Sha’Carri Richardson set the current NCAA record of 10.75 seconds in the 100 meters at just 19 years old, she has been under intense pressure to represent the U.S. on major platforms, that’s the World Championships and the Olympics. And even though she has tried her best to get herself out there, her desire to grab a chance on a global stage has been faced with numerous setbacks.
In 2021 at the U.S. Olympic Trials, Sha’Carri Richardson who was just a rising sprint star secured a ticket to represent the U.S. in the women’s 100 meters at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Sadly she tested positive for a banned substance and was slammed with a one-month suspension which prevented her from making her Olympic debut.
