I started dating a guy and couple weeks later found out he was married, from him. He said the divorce was filed but she wouldn’t sign. I made him show me the papers and verified it with the courts. Were separated a year prior to divorce and divorce filed about 10 months prior. Still wasn’t comfortable with the situation but at least he wasn’t lying and had been upfront. We split up because of his kid needing him in his life; the mom was not a very nice person.

I personally would never entertain this kind of situation. I wouldn’t want the social stigma that (rightfully) comes with starting a relationship, with a man who’s still in a relationship.

Especially if the paperwork hasn’t even been filed.
