GTI 170 is indeed a great ski. A masterpiece of a hull, rode one in 2-3 ft of ocean chop down in Mexico and it handled perfectly. Even coming out of a corner in those conditions, I always felt like I could put it anywhere I wanted. It influenced me to buy my GTR 230 only a week after getting home.

PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE!! My husband and I are looking at these very same two models...the 2023 GTI SE Sea-Doo with the IDF, speakers, etc. and the 2024 Yamaha VX Cruiser. Our lake is not real huge..a little over 180 acres. I want something comfortable to cruise on..that won't bounce a whole lot on bumps (as I have a sitting issue)..but also something that is playful. I have 3 grown children in their low 30's who will want to do the twists and turns and get a little rowdy, Does the Yamaha have the IDF system...that flushes out the intake? That's pretty important to me, I love the look of the Yamaha, .as the colors on the 2023 are kind of drab...but I'm going to go with the better ski for what I want it for, rather than looks. Thank you to all who reply. We are making this decision tomorrow!!

Hey man, our family recently bought a lake house and want to get a couple skis for everyone to use. We want something that 16-24 yr old guys will have a blast on but that it can also be nice to cruise down the river on for a couple hours. If it can pull a kid on a float thats even better. Most importantly something reliable even if its getting somewhat abused lol.

Also, where we are on the lake can get pretty rough waters when a lot of boats are out....busy weekends we can have like 3 foot waves.

Do you think the VX Cruiser is the way to go? It's a lot of coin to spend so hoping you can give me some good expert opinion!

Not the cruiser, the stupid fixed seating is terrible. Get the vx deluxe flat seat you can sit anywhere you want.
