Dr. Shabir Ally, you have always impressed me with your reasoned and compassionate positions. Your dedicated to peaceful dialog is a model for others to follow.

While I am a former Ahmadi Muslim, I do admire the peaceful stance that Ahmadis take. It's nice to see a Sunni Muslim speaks so clearly and unequivocally about the subject, without misrepresenting or denigrating another denomination in the process.

I salute you! Peace and love.

This maulana is not Ahmadi. But, compared to mainstream scholars of Sunnis, he talked nicely and honestly, like a gentle man. I appreciate it. I still want to know those many ahadis which say that there will be no prophet of any kind after The Prophet Mohammad SAW.

Very good that he says Muslims should not be violent against people based on different ideas

A good approach for dialogue and absolutely no violence against any sect

Speaking as an Ahmadi myself, I like how he was not very abusive in his tongue as some others are. He described Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) well and he was not harsh in his explanation on the way we differ. I appreciate his humbleness and ease of words. Jazakallah.

This is what we call understanding. You spoke very well compared with others who have no understanding.

Honestly Shabir Ally has the most respect out of every maulvi including ones of Khatam un Nabuwat. Like I’m not saying he’s the only one, I know there are other very kind maulvis who do not support the killing of Ahmadis and believe that Muhammad (saw) was touched by Satan at birth God forbid etc, but this man is so well respected and some ask why didn’t he answer the question, but he has so much respect that he knows this question is very sensitive that he looked around the question. Very respectful man

It’s not only „Sunni“ belief that the prophet Muhammad s is the last prophet. It’s an essential part of the aqida of every Muslim whether they’re Shi’a or Sunni.
Unfortunately Qadiyanis don’t believe in this because they claim that their founder is a prophet (he himself also said that). Thus they’re nonmuslims. May allah guide them to the straight path.

I think his answer was not extreme enough for some people, the whole issue is about the word "Khatam" which some people claim to mean "Last" and others as "Seal" of the Prophets (pbuh). It is pretty clear from the Quran and hadiths that once someone repeats the Kalma Tayyiba, they are a Muslim, no human has any authority to disclaim his allegiance to Islam anymore, the arguement stops there. The mullahs on the other hand can not let the arguement stop as this would mean they are in the wrong and unfortunately there is a lot of power in religion and people do not like to let go of power/influence. If we used our brains a little, we should be able to see the purpose of Islam, "There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his Messenger", if you believe this and only submit to Allah and behave in a righteous manner you are a Muslim. The amount of Sunni maulvi speeches I hear where they are using some of the dirtiest swearwords in existence should tell their followers, something is wrong here, this is not how our beloved Prophet(pbuh) would have conducted himself, why am I following this Jahil in spiritual matters?

The question was, "Do Ahmadis hold heretical beliefs?". He went into a history lesson, but he just didn't answer.

Even if they are heretical, Dr. Ally is right. They should not be viciously attacked as they are by some Muslims and discriminated against as in Pakistan. Let them follow their beliefs as with other religions.

I am hearing just about this Ahmadiya community. I find his explanation clear and to the point. Why are you people so aggresive towards this group? Allah will sort them out if they are wrong. What's your problem? Look at your own matters so that you are correct and are doing all the necessary things that need to be done as far as yourself is concerned, not others. Let them be.
