Unboxing the new HSK 3.0 (level 5) vocabulary manual

I check out the HSK5-level vocabulary textbook called "Quick Vocabulary Handbook" 词汇速记速练手册 (5级). This is for the new HSK 3.0 standards. For the HSK5, we have:

- 54 units with 20 words per unit, totally 1071 words, in pinyin order. (The last unit has less than 20 words.)
- Each unit uses an identical style: (a) definitions (in English) and example sentences (b) various exercises, but mostly fill-in-the-blank.
- You can get the answers by scanning the QR code on the back.

Is it useful? The English definitions can be imprecise. One fill-in-the-blank exercise I tried had more than one possible answer, but the answers only listed one answer. Other than that, I think it'd be quite an effective study tool.
