My partner and I started a YouTube channel to explain what D.I.D. was to the common person.
Until we discovered her condition, neither one of us understood it, only what we had seen in movies.
But, our channel never exploited her condition by parading out her alters. We only wanted to educate. Well after 2 years, we only had 200 followers. Because people weren't interested in DID, they only wanted to see the circus shows that others offered. (See switching on camera kinda stuff)
Since then, we've made the videos private and stopped filming updates.
We know some folks need attention, good or bad attention. But we don't. She doesn't. Unfortunately, she sees herself as a failure now. Unable to teach. Unable to even convince her family and friends of her ailment. They think she's faking it, thanks to those who have faked it and got caught.
Humans don't want education unless it's entertaining. Sad.

I think your points are true, but I also believe that people will self diagnose alot with minimal amounts of research or speaking to a professional. which, in turn, leads them to believe they might have something they might not have, impacting themselves and the ones around them negatively

Since you turned comments off on your video about “Are you ready to be a parent?”, just wanted to say I think you need professional therapy if you are not already getting it. You are the last person who should be speaking on parenthood and especially children
