Okay, I hate that they mislead you and their customers but... IT'S SO CUTE 🥰

They should have called this the LuxPro Microcaster & advertised it for backpacking/travel. Fun video. Thanks Landon!

That guitar looks like someone ignored the "Do not tumble dry" tag.

This is a great guitar for a young kid. I would love to have had this option as a small kid just starting to rock out!

You should have got the 39” guitar instead Landon. I bought one back in Feb. 2021 for $159.99 total, no shipping and no taxes. It’s light, no sharp frets, actually stays in tune pretty good. Pickups aren’t the best sounding, but for the price, I’m not complaining. And yes, I’m in Canada too, from Saskatoon. Also the 39” Telecaster does indeed have 22 frets.

It actually 'looks' quite cool as a travel/mini guitar. The thickness of the body is nice

Sorry I don’t think it’s worth $129. Maybe $50

A have a black and white LyxPro strat which I cheerfully call "Clapton". It's ok, but required quite some maintenance... I had to replace the saddles and string trees, oil the fretboard, polish and file the frets - that sprout more than Brussel sprouts in the Netherlands and do a complete setup. If anything it was a great platform for me to learn how to properly set up and maintain my guitars 😀

OMG all that pre unboxing foreplay to finally whip out that tiny little guitarette has me in stiches. thanks needed that!

Honestly looks like a pretty cool little hatchet, one of the rare times I could see something selling BETTER if they advertised it accurately.

Imagine being a tree and ending up turned into that monstrosity. 😢

Never put your guitar on high temperature drying cycle.

It's not bad. Definitely a decent super mini size guitar. Might be goof for trips especially long road ones where space is limited

The plastic control plate is a 'special' design feature. Those who live in the tropics typically seek out guitars with such desirable features to avoid corrosion issues.

I suspect this guitar was sold in the wrong market as clearly Canadians don't appreciate such well thought out design features.

Not to mention the wood of choice Paulonia, which is a weedy species in many countries (true), has unusually very small pores (stomatas), so that in locations with high humidity, (again sold in the wrong market), reduces the risk of wood expansion (high humidity) & contraction & eventual damage to the guitar.

So, I'd suggest this guitar was cleverly designed, unfortunately the critical design elements were not appreciated by this Canadian reviewer.

C'mon Landon your research department, away on Easter break, is no excuse for this misguided review. 'We' all expect more from you! 🤔

Title should have been...

Killer guitar for the 5 year old shredders. 👏
Fine print

Not a meme, not a clickbait, just Landon being himself.

Funny thing is that Paulownia is super light and consistent in weight, but easy to scratch and dent, so the Fender Brad Paisley Tele sandwiches it with a layer of Spruce on either end.

This guitar is perfect size for Bea to play with. Maybe fetch ?

You know, you and Josh from JHS could host a deadpan hour of guitar conversation. You seem to share some humor DNA :P

I picked up a Tokai strat copy for $199 in 1989. Still plays better and feels better and sounds better than my real strats

Man, I lol'ed when you removed that protective sheet 😂

I'm amazed the tuners are OK. They really suck on the Squier Mini. Bonus - you have sharp fret ends and unpolished frets. What better instrument to learn on basic maintenance on!

OMG! That is the worst sounding guitar. The body is hysterical. It's a toy guitar. If this is an example of the guitars they make, they'll be out of business before the end of the year. 🤣

Do a setup, put some GFS pickups in there, and use it for a lap steel.😊
