► Xiao was my first five star character that I got on Genshin Impact. I immediately got him up and made him as best as I could at that time. But a new artifact domain came out with the Chasm and it made him even better. I decided that why not revisit him and make him try to do more damage. Does he turn out to be better? Or was it a waste of my resources and my time?

Xiao was also my first limited 5* and I still main him seriously, so let me try to help a little.

Talents: for the love of archons, stop and level up your normals to 9-10 (if there's one to crown, it's this one first). That's his most important talent. Xiao's plunges, despite being used during his burst, have their multipliers on the basic attack talent while the burst just gives them a bit of a boost. You'll get a nice new spike once you do this, trust me

Weapons: sadly, this is something where we're still stuck in 2022. Besides Blackcliff you've got Deathmatch from the battle pass (and there's an old atk% event polearm called missive windspear that's unavailable now, and lithic spear which is weapon banner gacha only and not worth it). He really likes 5* polearms like PJWS and Homa, or any others with crit or atk% as main stat. But yeah, most 4* polearms are incompatible with him and that's terrible for f2p players. He's the anti-Xiangling in that sense

Artifact set: you're good keeping him with vermilion. Marechausse hunter is great too and a resin saver but I think it has more value to switch if you had his premium team and a homa. But the sets are very on par so don't worry and keep this one. If you really want to improve him, farm until you have over 70% crit rate and 120-140 ER. Having +200% crit dmg is really cool but not if you miss a lot of crits. With your teams, especially if you switch to a low cons Faruzan, you do need way more ER to burst comfortably

Team: I read the comments to see who you have and your best team would be the pre-Furina team of Faruzan/Benny/Zhongli. Kazuha for the map and dailies is okay but he does nothing in Xiao's team to buff him. The reason why we hype C6 Faruzan as his BiS is because she becomes a battery, gives anemo dmg an extra 40% crit dmg, and does some crowd control. But... yeah, cons for 4* are so hard to get. Still, do use your Faruzan because she still shreds and buffs anemo at C0. Only thing she needs is burst leveled up and +300% ER. Just use a fav bow (with refinements if possible), 2p emblem at least can help but you can dump any high ER artifact on her. You'll need to do charged shots with her to get particles in the rotations. Make sure Benny's burst is leveled up as much as possible. Fav lance on Zhongli was something I used as well to help

Cons: don't worry, he's fine at C0. C1 is cool for one more E but your primos can go elsewhere

Future investment: you won't be able to do much more for Xiao atm with your characters and weapons, you'll have to hit the gacha and get the magical duo of Furina and Xianyun once they're back. Dude, you have no idea. He just becomes a different character with this team! It removes Circle Impact and you can move around, plus his damage is at least 4-5 times what you're doing now (even more with C6 Faru). And you can use those two with other DPS and teams as well, so it's good for your account. If you do get Furina before Xianyun, Jean also works as a replacement for her as the healer (Furina prefers team-wide heals to raise her fanfare -or her stacks that buff the characters- faster. Benny also works but a bit more mediocre, at C0 Furina I'd recommend Jean since she also can battery Faruzan and Xiao) As for weapons, if you decide to risk the weapon banner, whichever runs first between PJWS or Homa honestly

This abyss: that fatui trio are assholes. I also died the first time with the cryo fatuus exploding even with his premium team lmao

A good artifact set is also the Hunter set in the same domain as golden troupe, due to fact xiao looses hp with his burst, he can activate the 4pc set, but if u already have a good 4pc vermillion, then there isn't really the point, but if you end up farming more golden troupe, and get good pieces from the other set that would work for him, you can just slowly build up more of the set to use on him. (it also means you don't have to worry as much about crit rate)

Xiao was also my first limited character and I invested into a lot for him. I was able to get Furina, C6 Faruzan and C2 Xianyun. He hits like a truck now. The only thing I’m missing is his signature weapon. Currently using black cliff pole arm

I revisited my Xiao after losing on the weapon banner & getting his Jade spear. Still can't get a good VH set even after a lot of strong boxing so stuck with 2pc VH/VV. Talents on 10/8/10, 2211 atk, 71/167 crit spread & 61.6 anemo DMG. Play him almost exclusively in FFXX & get consistent 130K plunges, but haven't tested since getting C1 Furina so might be better if I try him on MH. Will look out for your next video, keep on keeping on 🫡

you should have upgraded his normal attack, xiao has a lot of passive dmg% bonus, +90% in ult, so his scaling in atq and hight multipliers are more worth it, i highly recommend stats to be 75CR 180+ CDmg, around 2K atq atq 130% ER if not played in bis team with C6 faruzan and xianyun, xiao maining since 2021 💪

Xiao is still a great character I use him with c6faruzan, xianyun, furina and he deals like 120-130k plunge per hit...I cleared this abyss with him

I have been a xiao main ever since i got him, he was my first limited 5 star so yeahh
Im too lazy to refarm his artifacts and his stats rn are okay ish its 56/250 so yeah😭
Once i get a good crit rate circlet it will be more even

U can use the one u r using on jong lee coz it have high base attk and it gives 8% crit rate but u will lose crit dmg but hey u can farm more coz if u r building a character seriously u can get around 200crit dmg solely from artifacts and yeah homa is coming next phase so u can pull that black pole has low base attk and shit passive that crit dmg is nice but base aatk is main thing if ur base dmg is low crit multipliers will be low anyways up to u😌

I use death match, and 2 piece sets vv and glad with c6 faruzan cr/cd -78/186 average damage 58k if you use faruzan the you will easily get like 65k
