I’m so late to the game. I just discovered your travel videos and am totally enjoying them. My husband and I went to Japan in 1983 and this brings back so many memories. I had read about how to behave in a public bath before we went, but was so nervous about actually using one. In Tokyo we were in an American style hotel, so had a private bath there. Then we went to a town that catered to honeymooners near Fugiama, but as luck would have it, it was not wedding season and I went to bath to find myself totally alone. Regardless, I followed the customs and cleansed before getting into the swimming pool-sized bath. I felt kind of silly, but was so glad I was the only one there. We then stayed in the Minaguchi-ya, which is featured in the book “Japanese Inn, ” by Oliver Statler, and we had a bath filled for us by the inn keeper. I’m 72 years old now and I cherish the memories I have of our adventures. We’ve been home bound because of the pandemic, but I can’t wait to travel again. Luckily, I have four grown “children” who live in great places to travel to and they all have private baths so I won’t have to drop my towel in front of any strangers. If you are a young person reading this, I encourage you to travel if you can. You will gain so much from it!

Its mid October 2024 and I'm aiming to watch Kara and Nate from the beginning, up to where I started watching them in 2020.
I fell in love with them then, and seeing how far they've come is s delight.
Im also so glad that they've changed the nusic.
They look so young and its only been 8 years.

Japan is one of those countries where you really need a guide (native or foreign) when you visit - you miss so much of the culture + you will have a much more rewarding visit if you are with someone who knows the culture. I have studied/lived/worked in Japan so I am speaking from first hand experience. Love you channel!
