I have last version of this tv (the QN900B) 75". I couldn't be happier! I love the design, and it was the first time a tv had actually 4 HDMI 2.1 ports! For my gaming, this was exactly what i wanted. The 8K wasn't the first thing on my mind when i bought this tv. It was really more all the other features like ALLM and VRR. It was completely promoted as a gaming tv and it did not disappoint. It gets very bright indeed! So be sure to be in a well lit room! I find that i need to dial down the brightness quite a lot! Even though i have a big bright room. Also, the tv is even more beautiful when you hang it on a wall, something i did immediately! The One Connect box is also really nice and easy to hide somewhere in a cabinet. No more visible wires and easy access. All of this was more important to me than the 8K aspect. Though other models also have a one connect box (and SOME of the other features i mentioned.) I really fell in love with the design of this tv. After all, it's there on the wall/cabinet all the time, right in your face. So you want something nice to look at!

Actually, I disagree! The 65 in tv in this model is still a fantastic screen and the difference is quite noticeable from other 4k tvs! Don't necessarily need to go larger to see the high quality, as the 65 is the minimum screen size you'd want to benefit from the higher resolution.

Just picked up a store demo 65QN900B, its predecessor. Steep, steep discount. We have the exact same IKEA TV cabinet, so judging from your video, it will look great in our living room 😊

I just got the cu8000 85 and it’s good for our living room.

Definitely don't care about Dolby Vision . I find it distracting on dimmer Tvs .
On brighter Tvs it's not that necessary over 1500 nits. This TV tested in the 2000 to 2200 nits range.
Good enough! 😁
We're actually getting the 800B which is even BRIGHTER 🔆

Great review Brian. I already have the s95b 55 inch tv and it's hard to imagine the picture being any better. But, I'm thinking of going up to the 65 inch s95c. I've read THIS is the tv to get over a 65 inch qn900c 8k. I only watch tv in the evening in a dimly lit room. No gaming at all. For some reason I like the idea of having an 8k tv but is it really worth having in the 65 inch model? I just want the very best picture that I can get!

Wonder what the difference is between the 800C and 900C?
I found a great deal on a 65" Q800C for $699...Picture looks great to me but I was wondering what else the 900C offered

Brian, the QN900c 65 inch is on sale at a great price through Samsung Financing. As for my previous question, this tv in 65 inch or the 65 inch s95c? dimly lit viewing only.

How's that upscaling for productivity work from the couch, say Google Docs and Google Slides? I have a narrow room and consider a disproportionately large TV for chilling by YT, series, the odd sim racing session and productivity, especially when there's a business guest. A curved monitor (also getting that, my laptop has been my largest screen for going on 20 years) is much less convenient for co-work I guess.
Or, would I be running Google Slides directly in 8K from a powerful PC? I wonder what laptops manage that... I guess that would take a 15 meter HMDI cable to get around the room...

What's the power consumption on that gonna be like? 😬

4k @ 120/144Hz is so smooth, it would make one want 8k @ 120/144Hz once it is here. Wish next gen HDMI/DP/TB was already here. P.S. I'm a PC user/content creator/gamer, so for me 8k is great and immersive. Currently use S95B.

im interested in an 8k once they have wifi 7... maybe by then the affordability will be a little better and certainly the wireless will be nicely faster

Saw a 65” QN800C today @ a local store. It was Dazzling and Mesmerizing! Is this even better??

Do you HAVE to use the soundbar? Can you experience burn in with this TV?

Glad we choose 8K QLED vs 4k OLED. the detail in picture is just "WOW!😯😯😯 ".. which is more accurate in what you see in rear world rather than Oversaturated Colors in OLED panels..

I have an LG G1 brightness has never been an issue!!! colors always Great!!! how ever once you get over a 55" in 4k pixel density thing's like noticing individual Pixels start becoming clear..! if I start looking for another TV it will be one of these simply because I will only go above 55" if the TV is in 8k for now I am still spoiled with my Oled which Value has also gone up which tells you something
