Feast of the Assumption in Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood gets beefed up security by police

One of Cleveland’s longest-standing traditions -- the annual Feast of the Assumption -- is back in Little Italy now through Sunday, Aug. 18.
The event began Thursday morning with mass at 10 a.m. followed by the traditional procession, which we streamed live.
The annual Catholic street festival gives Northeast Ohioans a chance to enjoy delicious food from all of Little Italy's signature restaurants. Throughout the weekend, there's also live entertainment, inflatables, games and more.
SCHEDULE FOR THE FEAST
Thursday, Aug. 15: 10 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 16: 6 p.m.-midnight
Saturday, Aug. 17: Noon to 11 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 18: Noon to 10 p.m.

ROAD CLOSURES
Mayfield Road will be completely closed to vehicular traffic between Circle Drive and Kenilworth Road during the following times:
Thursday, Aug. 15: 10 a.m. -11:30 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 16: 5 p.m.-1 a.m.
Saturday, Aug. 17: 11 a.m.-12 a.m.
Sunday, Aug. 18: Beginning at 11 a.m.
