New Sewing Room Tour (and Organization tips) - Renee Romeo
Would you like to see my GORGEOUS new space?

Check out my new sewing room tour and organization tips.
My new sewing room tour and organization tips will help you organize your own space. It's been a little over two weeks since my last post because I've been busy moving and organizing my new home. All my hard work is paying off because I'm now able to bring you the ultimate room makeover. Why settle and design my sewing space first? Well, all subsequent house projects will start in my sewing space. It's a hub for creativity and I don't want  to kill my creative juices.

Who doesn't like to see how other people live?
Organization is key to the way my family and I live. We all have our creative spaces and each one is exceptional in its own way. My new sewing space has me out of a windowless basement room and into a lofty second story space. It's a light-filled room that overlooks a beautiful pond and gently rolling hills. It's also in a quiet corner of the house that only hears the occasional chirping of birds. It's perfect for focusing on any project. Today's project is the room itself.

My new sewing room tour and organization tips are helpful.
I'm sharing ways to organize the room so that it appears as one cohesive space. Many of the items in the room are dis-similar but I manage to bring the space together with a few great tips and tricks. I'm using basic principles of design and decoration. I will explain each one thoroughly so that you can apply the same plan and principles in your space. I have a few issues to solve too. I don't have any closets in this space so I need to be extra careful about how I place them throughout the room.

Awesome use of that space! I have those same plastic storage bins that you are using for fabric scraps. I have a stack of 3 that I use for scraps and another stack of 6 where I have all my sewing patterns organized by brand and then pattern number.

That's a great space!  I like what you did with it, especially the Dormer cat nooks.

Congratulations on having such a nice space.
Tip: Don't store anything that's subject to fading in those dormer areas unless you have special glass. Tassels, threads, wrapping paper will all be faded on the sides in direct line with the rays of light. Those closest to the windows will fair the worst. A solution is to put curtain panels (on rods) over those items that can be pulled/moved aside to view/access same.

Love the cabinets! Where did you get the clear chair from?

I sure envy you and all this space. I am still working on my space, I bought lateral files or letter files that come with matching hutches, that go on top of files. Put 8-foot plywood board on top of files and that gives me enough room for my computer. Also painted them( the files }with a blue hue gray and painted plywood gloss black. So that takes a whole wall. I am hoping to get a desk for my sewing machine. The room is only 12x14 so have to watch how I pack it.
