I'm really happy that Stephen Lorentz found the back of the net. I love the way he plays the game.

I have never seen a defensive zone faceoff with no goalie. 😮

Nylander is such a clever hockey player, he had a couple shots labeled but the goalie came up with them.

Usually, these afternoon games are automatic losses for the Leafs. I'll take the two points no matter how ugly the win is.

Woll makes the difference, Murray doesn't have the agilities back or never will.

I'm happy for two points, but there's nothing to talk about for that game. Some really sloppy hockey from both teams; it almost felt like a pre-season game.

All i know is in the preseaon, when Barzel, Horvat and DuClair were on the same line, they were winning and producing points, I was hopeful...

It's such a common talking point amongst Leaf fans: "This year just feels different". We have to somehow get away from that saying, or that feeling.
But all I WILL say is that our defensive depth, especially when we are at full health, and we have Haakinpaa and OEL, and Stolarz again? Tanev has been an absolute revelation, the same can be said of both netminders. Career year for Woll, possibly? And if Stolarz continues to play like he did pre-injury? Not many better 1A/1B tandems in the League.

I actually have a very, very hard time thinking of a goaltending duo I'd rather have than a healthy Woll and Stolarz. Benoit is great depth D-man. He is what he is, and he serves his purpose. McCabe is probably the highest value signing the Leafs' have made in years (not counting Stolarz). The forward group leaves a lot to be desired, at times, and the first half of the season was terrible. Nights when we are playing with 6 AHL forwards (legitimately, no exaggeration. Problems with AM34 from the pre-season until now. But I guess my point is that the team is pushing through, and I think a tremdnous amount of credit should go towards the head coach and GM, for assembling the backend (defense and goaltending included) to make this a viable team that isn't 100% dependant upon 4 singular names: Marner, Matthews, Nylander, and Tavares.

The rest of the credit goes to the team, for believing and changing the constitution of this hockey team, not just in terms of tactics and gameplay, but the actually DNA behind their identity. Never willing to be push-overs anymore. Not willing to be made a joke of, and standing up for each other, as a team. Like I said, i will not say "This team feels different", especially not after a win vs. NYI. However, looking at how strong our backend is, coupled with the potential this forward group has? This could yield some truly amazing hockey, and we've yet to see it really pop off, because we're still missing key guys up front. If AM34 gets fully healthy, and some holes in LW/RW get filled? This will be a dangerous club. I'll leave it at that haha.

Pullilng the goalie on a defensive zone faceoff?? WTF ?? Good thing for the LEafs that Roy was a much much better goalie than he is a coach

Roy pulling the goalie on a defensive zone draw, that's it, I've seen it all. Bring on 2025.
