i honestly think this is kristian's best song. such a beautiful melody, such passion, such poignant lyrics, such lush production, such a phenomenal vocal performance...that gorgeous bridge that culminates in him saying "it's just all this fucking doubt" with so much pain and longing. and this song, in my opinion, is just on a completely different level from the artists that people have been comparing it to - war on drugs, tom petty, bruce hornsby, bruce springsteen - i appreciate each of those artists, but none of them has a song quite like this.

Took me a second to get used to this new style, but i'm loving it now. Instant playlist song, and although the lyrics are a little more muffled than usual, they are still stellar, as usual (I admit I looked them up).
