The Centre on Thursday told the Supreme Court that a decision has been made to cancel the scorecards of 1563 candidates of NEET-UG 2024 who were given grace marks, with the candidates being given the option of appearing for a re-test.

A bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta recorded the National Testing Agency (NTA) as saying that the date of such a re-test for the 1563 candidates would be notified on June 13 and the results would be declared on June 30. This is so that counselling, scheduled to begin on July 6, is not affected.
