This will help a lot because characters that havent been touched since legion for instance, their gear is all trash now after the level squish.

They should make the clean quest option a thing that anyone can use. This would be so helpful especially going into newer expansions going forward. Or if you're planning to level up a alt.

They just need the destiny alt system, where if you have one character thats super high light level, the gear that drops for you in ANY content will scale drastically up to get you near the same ilvl. It's a fantastic system.

For anyone who dont know about it yet: avoid the gear update or use it on ONLY one character. Many people (myself included) saw the option persisting for our alts, selected the gear update and now they're stuck 💀 it says the process need to be complete before playing but it never completes, so I can't play with any of them. If you have this issue, send a ticketbto Blizzard. Let's hope it will be solved soon.

The only thing i don't like is that clearing quests is not optional.
My DK has 2 weeks worth of shards for the Shadowmourne quest, but i would really like the gear upgrade, so i'd have to wait a few more weeks before getting the gear, or delete my quests and start over.

Most people that have this available should never use it. It seems to delete your inventory and equipped items. Long-ignored accounts will often have no-longer-available shirts/equipment that will disappear before you can learn them via transmog. You might lose pets and mounts that were in your inventory before they became consumable. UI adjustments will disappear. If you like having quests in your log that are no longer available or have heavy progress towards legendary quests, this could wipe those, too. You can't even log into the character in advance to make sure you won't lose anything without removing the option to do the upgrade entirely.

Horrible system in nearly every way. I'd only ever use something like this on a new character.

So, I did it today on one of my 60s and noticed the following: a) clearing quest log is now optional. b) action bars completely messed up. c) gear upgrade... I had already dressed up the character with i229 greens from Zereth Mortis. The items I got were i174. I am really glad we get our old gear in the mail. ;)

I enjoyed the free week of wow they gave me and a 30 day play time when I got the dragonlands but I havent played in sooo long cuz I wanted to save cash.

The last month i got 7 days of playtime from blizzard as a gift and there were some kind of event so you could play dragonflight without buying it. I tried it and as i played these whole item upgrade makes no sense :D My friends told me just choose bc timeline and go dungeons. I Did it and boy oh boy it was a mess. I were playing with some kind of druid premade team with a lvl 11 and a 19 druid or smth like that and avarge we finished a dungeon in about 2 minute. I went from lvl 51 to 60 less than a hour. I cant even hit a single mob, i cant keep up with the druids they clear the whole instance while runing. I thinking about to return if there will be some kind of summer sale during june but I would prefer to can create this new characters like iron dwarf and the fat human instead of this items. I cant create those and i dont know what kind of achivments i need to do it and i dont want to lvl up a character just for doing those then create another one.... Sorry for my bad englando.

Yo take this down you need to let people know it erases your interface settings and explain how your old gear doesn’t get deleted. Terrible video
