Kris wrote "Me & Bobby McGee" which Janis Joplin made into a lovely classic. But anyway, my favourite of his is his performance of "Sunday Morning Coming Down " on a Johnny Cash tribute show. A great, heartfelt song from his own experience, sung with even more feeling here for his friend John. You may notice his voice seems to break for a second when talking about John. I'm a lifelong non drug user, but that makes no difference to my love of this performance.
