But (x+1)^2=2(x+1)*1 which is 2x+2 or you get the same by (x+1)^2 is x^2+2x+1=2x+2 don't misinform the confused children

For anyone not recognising the pattern or not familiar with calc: this means the derivative of a term is equal to expression on the right. d/dx[x²]=2x

Bruh (x+1)^2=x^2 + 2x + 2, therefore the derivative of the former is 2x + 2. You could also just use chain rule and get the same thing.

even if ur doing derivatives, the last answer of (2x+2) would be right no matter which way you do it. both FOILing it out and doing chain rule would result in that answer

Last one is the correct derivative by chain rule. Alternatively, you can expand the binomial power and do sum rule to get the same result.

That last equation really got me man, I keep forgetting that squaring is multiplying the x+1 by x+1 and not applying the square to both terms 😅
