I've been driving with 700pp cars on this track for 2 years, I try to change car every time. The best cars for this event only need to pit once and can wait for the timer to run out at the start/finish line. But it can be fun with any car. Even the Volvo 240 with all upgrades can win it even though it's only around 600 pp. It's more exciting because of all the pit stops. Fwd cars are the hardest because they will spin out when their tires are worn which will end up costing too much time.

I found the JGTC Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R 'Pennzoil' to be alot better for thsi role. Very similar strategy, however only needing to pit once, the GT500 R34 presents alot better performance with exceptional fuel consumption

Im sure there some GT7 gods will know of better cars for this purpose orher than the pikes peak S1 or the JGTC R34, hiwever ive found a good comfort and trust level in the R34's capabilities
