I am empowered by solitude. It has not always been this way. In this path I have suffered through terrible cycles of isolation I created through my mental health challenges…long periods where I wrestled with just wanting to stay alive on this planet. Today, I crave my solitude. My transformation came through the loss of my son to suicide. I grew up an orphan. Lived an “I’m alone” story for almost 50 years, even when I was surrounded by others. Meditation not only reconnected me with my son, it reconnected me with Me. Ancient Me. Deep Me. The Me that has always been here. This Me is never alone - even in solitude I am a part of the Infinite - and We are all here. The I is infinite. The I is a We.

The journey of solitude is one that helps you to understand what your true beliefs are as to who you are, It helps you question your values as to what is important to you while helping you to find a sense of purpose and meaning, and it really shows us the quality of our relationships with the outside world base on how we feel about ourselves. To understand others, one must understand oneself first, and to understand oneself requires you to turn around and face the darkness within and to embrace it with love, compassion, and kindness. In doing so, you will find more of the magnificence of who you really are and what gifts you bring to the world by remembering your true authentic self and embracing it with love. The journey might be difficult, but it is worth it as the peace found in taking the journey is the greatest reward we can give ourselves. It is priceless.

All my life I've been drawn to that solitude, to a stroll in nature or just to step aside from what's going on. In recent years I've received a number of tools/techniques to understand it more fully and why.

Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with friends 💕 but since every topic is seldom available I feel sort of restricted, which for me says there is more to learn here.

Seek joy in every moment and you will be a happy person, and realize that the only available energy is love ❤
