Bo Horvat notched a pair of assists and potted the lone goal of the shootout and Kyle Palmeri had a goal and an assist as the New York Islanders rallied to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3.

Shootouts in recent memory have been a house of horrors for the Islanders. When they had Frans Nielsen and Kyle Okposo, they were unbeatable in shootouts. They were dealt a rash of major injuries to key players very early this year. It's been a frustrating year offensively for them. Getting a couple of shootout wins will hopefully give them some much needed confidence going forward. They still haven't won consecutive games this season and hopefully that changes on Thursday night in Ottawa.

Crosby and Malkin are playing together again. Nedeljovic is in goal while Jarry could end up into AHL while Bunting scored his first goal of the season from the pass of Puljujarvi.

Pens fan but they deserved to lose this game. In addition to all the giveaways. Seems letang doesnt even care anymore. But whats this stupid rule? Coach challenge, powerplay AND a free unearned goal!? Who the hell wants to win a game on the back of an unearned goal!? Ridiculous!!
