I was there on Friday too and I agree it was really busy. I did find it a bit much too. My sister and I had had enough by 1.30pm so went off into Harrogate for lunch and other shopping. Wouldn't have missed it though.

Hi lovely. I know exactly what you mean about the venue feeling claustrophobic. In part I was dreading it but it wasn’t too bad until midday Saturday. In the past it’s been awful and there were more halls just rammed with people. I can never understand why they don’t use the showground like other shows. I felt for you but yes it was good to see seating areas this time.

I was there on Friday too and it was very stressful to navigate. I had my 17month old with me in his buggy too which made navigating around even more difficult. Thankfully he coped amazingly and people were very helpful and friendly.

Thanks for being so open about your experience of the Knitting and Stitching show. I expect I would have felt the same with the crowds, but knowing there are quieter areas you can escape to encourages me to give the show a try next year. The colour of the knit fabric from H&H looks amazing on you.

I had to laugh when you talked about staying up until 11 the night before an event sewing the garment you were going to wear. I remember one formal occasion when I was in school where my Mama stitched me into a dress and had to wake up when I got home to snip the stitches. Also, the night before my wedding, my soon-to-be MIL asked if we were all ready and when we told her I just needed to put the sleeves in my cousins dress and my sister and Mama had to hem theirs I thought she was going to faint. (everything was done before the ceremony of course)

Great video Tamlyn Taylor is a lucky little chap lots of lovely fabrics for him.I was going to the Harrogate show with my daughter but Hubble went in for a long awaited knee op so hopefully next year.Looking forward to my parcel from 1st for fabrics.

I loved all your plans for Taylor as I make quite a few children clothes too. The fabrics are so lovely but it’s not always cost effective when I see things in the shops, especially pyjamas.
. I made a lovely pair of blue sloth pyjamas for my little grandson a few years ago. I love sloths too! Thank you 😌
