Like so many artist pain and heartbreak was one of the main motivational factors that drove me to the performing arts. Being able to share my real emotions under the cover of a song feels so liberating and cathartic.
I found this Ray LaMontagne classic fairly early in my musical journey and fell for it right away. The imagery the story telling the defiance all spoke to me and where I was in life at the time.
